Whether you are a military spouse, significant other, or family member, I hope this book can provide valuable guidance and support as you navigate the ups and downs of deployments. Understanding of the stages of deployment can help to prevent crises, minimize the need for command or mental health intervention, and can reduce suicidal ideation. Remember, you are not alone in this journey. At some points, the journeys feels hard, but you have done hard before and you grew through those hard and challenging moments. We can make it through anything together. Sometimes, the deployment story/reality is sad, scary, and lonely, and will test our desire and will to continue down this path. Looking back, there is no other way I would have wanted to do the last twenty years. There were challenges, there were hardships, and our kids struggled at times, but in reality, they are much more prepared to cope with the roller coaster of this crazy world. Let’s dive in and explore the life of deployments!

Examines the impact of hearing on the formal and generic development of early modern theatreEarly modern drama was in fundamental ways an aural art form. How plays should sound, and how they should be heard, were vital questions to the formal development of early modern drama. Ultimately, they shaped the two of its most popular genres: revenge tragedy and city comedy. Simply put, theatregoers were taught to hear these plays differently. Revenge tragedies by Shakespeare and Kyd imagine sound stabbing, piercing, and slicing into listeners' bodies on and off the stage; while comedies by Jonson and Marston imagine it being sampled selectively, according to taste. The high school guys I teach didn't like all the sappy "love" parts of Twilight and New Moon. With this book, I cut out the sap! Have you ever wanted to be immortal, or would it be a dull trip through time for you? Here we meet the Crewe of Adelphus, a fraternity at Trinity Academy, in the fall of 2009. The team's quarterback has just been killed in the shower, and the twists and turns to find out who did it play out during the school year. We also go back into the late 1800s to a more peaceful time, and we meander along the Mississippi near New Orleans and then experience the cool breezes of a summer in Maine in 1886. Relax during these slower chapters and enjoy what life used to be like. Who are these Immortali? What is their function? How does the sacred book, The Kuhduush, guide one of the characters through his journey before he discovers the Krewe of Orestes, a group that perhaps inspired Bram Stoker's Dracula? It's a fun story, a mystery, an insight into the lives and psyches of young college students who are preparing for life in the midst of life. Toss in a few esoteric rituals down by the ocean or the lake as the meteors streak overhead, and you've got a good read for the summer.
