The monograph presents the results of the development of the theoretical foundations of geoinformation management of the development of distributed organizational and technical systems and territories. The objectives of the research identified the main tasks to be solved: 1) conceptual analysis of the processes of geoinformation management of the development of spatially distributed natural and technical systems. 2) methodological foundations for managing the development of natural and technical systems. 3) methodological apparatus for providing geoinformation management for the development of natural and technical systems. 4) geoinformation systems for managing the development of natural and technical systems. 5) methods and models of decision-making risk management in managing the development of natural and technical systems. The results obtained allow, at subsequent stages of research, to develop decision-making methods based on geoinformation for real control systems of various levels and purposes, practical recommendations for improving geoinformation risk management for the development of territories and organizational and technical systems, as well as methods for measuring the parameters of distributed systems, territories and water areas.
According to Prof Alexander Dugin, Vladimir Putin stands at a crossroads. Throughout his career as the President of Russia, Putin has attempted to balance two opposing sides of his political nature: one side is a liberal democrat who seeks to adopt Western-style reforms in Russia and maintain good relations with the United States and Europe, and the other is a Russian patriot who wishes to preserve Russia's traditions and reassert her role as one of the great powers of the world. It establishes a rigorous mathematical basis for IC, consistent with recent findings in immunology, and it presents various applications of IC to specific computationally intensive real-life problems. The hardware implementation aspects of the IC concept in an immunocomputer as a new kind of computing medium and its potential connections with modem biological microchips (biochips) and future biomolecular computers (biocomputers) are also discussed. All biological systems at the cellular and biomolecular levels are sophisticated mechanisms honed to perfection by millions of years of evolution, and their exploration provides inspiration for various novel concepts in science and engineering. Of these systems, however, only two types, the neural system and the immune system of the vertebrates, possess the extraordinary capabilities of "intellectual" information processing, which include memory, the ability to learn, to recognize, and to make decisions with respect to unknown situations. The potential of the natural neural system as a biological prototype of a computing scheme has already been utilized intensively in computer science through the mathematical and software models of artificial neural networks (ANN) and their hardware implementation in neural computers (see, e.g., Haykin, 1999; Wasserman, 1990).

At the height of World War II, a large number of Soviet partisans fought on the Eastern Front against the Axis occupation. In this book, Alexander Gogun looks at the forces operating in Ukraine. The Nazi atrocities were often matched by partisan brutality. The author examines the indiscriminate use of scorched-earth tactics by the partisans, the destruction of their own villages, partisan-generated Nazi reprisals against civilians, and the daily incidents of robbery, drunkenness, rape and bloody internal conflicts that were reported to be widespread amongst the red partisans. Gogun also analyses allegations of the use of bacteriological weapons and even instances of cannibalism. He shows that all these practices were not a product of the culture of warfare nor a spontaneous 'people's response' to the unremitting brutality of Nazi rule but a specific feature of Stalin's total war strategy.

This book investigates architecture as a form of diplomacy in the context of the Second World War at six major European international and national expositions that took place between 1937 and 1959. The volume gives a fascinating account of architecture assuming the role of the carrier of war-related messages, some of them camouflaged while others quite frank. The famous standoffs between the Stalinist Russia and the Nazi Germany in Paris 1937, or the juxtaposition of the USSR and USA pavilions in Brussels 1958, are examples of very explicit shows of force. The book also discusses some less known - and more subtle - messages, revealed through an examination of several additional pavilions in both Paris and Brussels; of a series of expositions in Moscow; of the Universal Exhibition in Rome that was planned to open in 1942; and of London’s South Bank Exposition of 1951: all of them related, in one way or another, to either an anticipation of the global war or to its horrific aftermaths. A brief discussion of three pre-World War II American expositions that are reviewed in the Epilogue supports this point. It indicates a significant difference in the attitude of American exposition commissioners, who were less attuned to the looming war than their European counterparts. The book provides a novel assessment of modern architecture’s involvement with national representation. Ultraviolet spectroscopy is one of the oldest and most popular methods in the field of biochemistry and molecular biophysics. At present, it is difficult to imagine the biochemical laboratory without a recording spectrophotometer or spectrofluorimeter. There are several hundreds of publications directly devoted to protein ultraviolet spectroscopy and in a great number of studies UV spectroscopic methods are used for the structural analysis of different proteins. Meanwhile a unified description of the theoretical basis of the methods, experimental techniques, data analysis, and generalization of results obtained in solving the specific problems of protein structure are lacking. There are three reasons for which a monograph on ultraviolet spectroscopy is needed today. So far there does not exist any theory of adaptive spatial signal processing (ASSP) for signals with uncertain parameters. This monograph is devoted to the development of this theory, which is very important in connection with wide spreading of telecommunications and radio links in the modern society. This theory can be applied for the development of effective radio communications. In the book some original approaches are proposed targeting the development of effective algorithms of ASSP with not exactly known parameters. They include both probabilistic and deterministic approaches for synthesis of robust algorithms of ASSP.
