The Early Anglo-Saxon Period is characterized archaeologically by the regular deposition of artefacts in human graves in England. The scope for dating these objects and graves has long been studied, but it has typically proved easier to identify and enumerate the chronological problems of the material than to solve them. Prior to the work of the project reported on here, therefore, there was no comprehensive chronological framework for Early Anglo-Saxon Archaeology, and the level of detail and precision in dates that could be suggested was low. The evidence has now been studied afresh using a co-ordinated suite of dating techniques, both traditional and new: a review and revision of artefact-typology; seriation of grave-assemblages using correspondence analysis; high-precision radiocarbon dating of selected bone samples; and Bayesian modelling using the results of all of these. These were focussed primarily on the later part of the Early Anglo-Saxon Period, starting in the 6th century. This research has produced a new chronological framework, consisting of sequences of phases that are separate for male and female burials but nevertheless mutually consistent and coordinated. These will allow archaeologists to assign grave-assemblages and a wide range of individual artefact-types to defined phases that are associated with calendrical date-ranges whose limits are expressed to a specific degree of probability. Important unresolved issues include a precise adjustment for dietary effects on radiocarbon dates from human skeletal material. Nonetheless the results of this project suggest the cessation of regular burial with grave goods in Anglo-Saxon England two decades or even more before the end of the seventh century. That creates a limited but important discrepancy with the current numismatic chronology of early English sceattas. The wider implications of the results for key topics in Anglo-Saxon archaeology and social, economic and religious history are discussed to conclude the report.

This book maintains that none is entitled to alter the perpetual ‘IS” The ‘Counselor’ as Jesus meant will lead you into situations that redeem and heal. The idea is very simple. In that particular state-of-being the counselor whom we refer to as the Christian-Meta-Love –Counselor or a Healing Presence, functions as a conduit of healing in the confused, suffering, broken, desperate, defeated, self-centered, unforgiving individuals to gain freedom from their private bondage to experience Healing. It is not as much as what the Meta-Love-Counselor does but who she or he is within the glorious presence of Jesus who in fills the Meta-love-counselor to function as an agent of the healing in and through the Meta-love-counselor only acts as a channel of healing. The Holy Spirit; source of all comfort and healing begins flowing to the person in need, through you, who functions as a genuine conduit for the happening, healing process. The dynamics of such happenings is not explainable technically; as it is there for anyone in the Spirit to experience it and for those outside it to reject outright. This book introduces both conceptual and procedural aspects of cutting-edge data science methods, such as dynamic data visualization, artificial neural networks, ensemble methods, and text mining. There are at least two unique elements that can set the book apart from its rivals. First, most students in social sciences, engineering, and business took at least one class in introductory statistics before learning data science. However, usually these courses do not discuss the similarities and differences between traditional statistics and modern data science; as a result learners are disoriented by this seemingly drastic paradigm shift. In reaction, some traditionalists reject data science altogether while some beginning data analysts employ data mining tools as a “black box”, without a comprehensive view of the foundational differences between traditional and modern methods (e.g., dichotomous thinking vs. pattern recognition, confirmation vs. exploration, single method vs. triangulation, single sample vs. cross-validation etc.). This book delineates the transition between classical methods and data science (e.g. from p value to Log Worth, from resampling to ensemble methods, from content analysis to text mining etc.). Second, this book aims to widen the learner's horizon by covering a plethora of software tools. When a technician has a hammer, every problem seems to be a nail. By the same token, many textbooks focus on a single software package only, and consequently the learner tends to fit the problem with the tool, but not the other way around. To rectify the situation, a competent analyst should be equipped with a tool set, rather than a single tool. For example, when the analyst works with crucial data in a highly regulated industry, such as pharmaceutical and banking, commercial software modules (e.g., SAS) are indispensable. For a mid-size and small company, open-source packages such as Python would come in handy. If the research goal is to create an executive summary quickly, the logical choice is rapid model comparison. If the analyst would like to explore the data by asking what-if questions, then dynamic graphing in JMP Pro is a better option. This book uses concrete examples to explain the pros and cons of various software applications.

We have not learned much from the lessons of history -- some of the social experiences are presented both for the developed nations, and those less fortunate: the overall economy, education, health care, poverty and discrimination, pollution, injustices and civil rights, the enormous expenditures on the military and on weapons of destruction, the precarious state of democracy etc., as well as proposals to strengthen the UN. The sources for these collected data include, politicians, newscasters, writers, guest speakers, lecturers, and other personalities, in newspapers, magazines on television, and on the Internet. The search continues for that elusive peace in our world today, and especially in the Middle East. The role of America in the general scheme of things needs to be better defined; as many have stated that we have been following the wrong path.
