Previous criticism has not adequately discussed oriental aspects of the content of Shakespearean drama. In addition to his portrayal of oriental figures (such as Cleopatra, Othello, and Shylock) and his use of literary genres and motifs that have roots in oriental tradition (such as that of the tragic romance in Romeo and Juliet, there are certain key elements in Shakespeare's thought and outlook that can only be properly understood within the larger contribution of the oriental legacy. This legacy has clear relevance not only to the exemplary fate of the lovers in Romeo and Juliet, but also to the destinies of such major Shakespearean heroes as Hamlet and Lear. Shakespeare, the Orient, and the Critics investigates the boundaries of oriental framework within works such as Hamlet, King Lear, and The Tempest. Stylistically, at the heart of Shakespeare's orientalism are two long-recognized features of his dramatic art: his predilection for reversing stereotypes and his sympathy and identification with the alien and the «other.» This can be most clearly seen in the love tragedies of Othello and Anthony and Cleopatra as well as the romantic comedy of The Merchant of Venice. Ultimately, the philosophic underpinning of such works is a special expression of Renaissance humanism that transcends the boundaries of class, race, and culture.

The angel Tonghunkas Tan Bonus is real; the mother of Jesus Christ is real--the author visited with them three to four hours. This great event is absolutely true. The author's polygraph test will be released in his next book, For Whom the Bullets Kill. He will also tell readers where heaven truly is, what it looks like, and much more. The events with the dignitaries were real but have been embellished for the excitement and entertainment of the reader. Again, this book was written to captivate the reader's attention but, most importantly, covers true events that will enlighten the religious beliefs we Americans are blessed to have freedom to worship every day.If my book offends anyone, I offer the humblest apologies; if my book entertains anyone, then all my labors will have been worthwhile. I thank God that I am an American and have the right to write what I please. I also feel I have earned that right by having fought wars for my country and also for the people while serving as a police officer.

The earliest surviving account of the Mohammedan conquest of Egypt and the west, The History of the Conquest of Egypt, North Africa, and Spain, also known as the Futuh Misr, was originally divided into seven books. A comprehensive history, including the characteristics and background of Egypt, the Muslim conquest of the country, and its rebuilding under new leaders, the author used numerous sources and oral accounts to compile the history. The work is presented in its original Arabic, in traditional right-to-left format. Also included is the original 1922 introduction from Charles C. Torrey, American historian and Semitic expert from Yale University. IBN 'ABD AL-HAKAM was born in 187 A.H. and died in A.D. 871 (year 257). One of the first historians to construct a Mohammedan history from the unreliable oral and written sources common in his era, Al-Hakam was from a reputable and well-respected family, renowned in the many branches of Hadith (narrations concerning the prophet Mohammed) and Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence). This made Al-Hakam one of the most qualified individuals to compile and record the Muslim tradition in Egypt in his day.
