About the Author Ajay Bhardwaj, PhD, has four masters under his belt, two in English literature, one in Human Consciousness and Yogic Science, and the other in Journalism and Mass Communication. “A Study of Yoga-related Coverage in Print Media” was his PhD thesis. Dr Bhardwaj is Senior Asst Professor in the Dept of Communication at Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (DSVV), Haridwar. He is also associated with the Dept of Yoga and Health, DSVV, where he is teaching post-graduate and other courses. He has co-authored a book Human Consciousness and Yogic Science. His research papers and articles have been published in various jounals of national and international repute, and magazines and newspapers. He has presented papers in numerous national and international seminars. He is also a member of the editorial boards of various international journals on yoga. Several students have completed their doctorates under his supervision.

In recognition of the idea of the Internet of items, a significant number of tangible items are now being connected with the internet at an exceptionally rapid pace. By the year 2025, there will be more than 30 billion Internet of Things connections, with approximately four Internet of Things devices per person on average, according to reports and current trends. Cloud computing provides a means through which the huge amounts of data created by these Internet of Things applications may be sent to their respective endpoints. The use of cloud computing is widely acknowledged to be a facility for the processing and storage of data. Just-in-time processing and lightning fast response times are necessities for any and all real-time applications that make use of the Internet of Things. Researchers, academics, and industrialists in the fields of health care, agriculture, telecommunications, online and mobile commerce, and transportation have shown a significant amount of interest in AI and IoT-based data. In today's world, AI-based methodologies increase the role that IoT plays in business monitoring, health-care monitoring, illness prediction, bioinformatics, research and development, stock market prediction, social network analysis, weather analysis, agriculture, transportation, and resource optimization. The implementation of these applications needs a certain amount of processing capability as well as data storage, both of which are often given by cloud-based services. The data that has been saved is processed in a high-precision and just-in-time way with the help of AI algorithms. The cloud is a strong instrument that can send data not only via the standard channels of the internet but also through a dedicated direct connection. The Internet of Things becomes the source of creating enormous amounts of data, and the cloud becomes an essential component for data storage. This book presents an extensive study on the effectiveness of recent regulations on pharmaceutical prices in India, exploring the weaknesses in the design and implementation of pharmaceutical price controls and investigating what can be done to fix the broken system. In addition, it examines the extent to which essential medicines are actually made affordable by price controls. The book argues that companies make the pharmaceutical price control regime largely ineffective by coordinating to increase pre-regulation prices; by diversifying horizontally away from the regulated markets and increasing prices in the unregulated markets; by manipulating trade margins; and by refusing to comply with the regulation because the penalties remains negligible. The book draws on extensive empirical research involving India’s 2013 Drug Price Control Order and widely-used medicines such as paracetamol and metformin to illustrate how firms have weakened regulation. It argues that the regulatory regime can be strengthened by using systematic analysis of product- and region-level data in the Indian pharmaceutical industry, and by screening for the strategies that firms currently employ to circumvent regulation. In closing, it discusses recent efforts to strengthen the implementation of price controls in India and expanding the scope of price controls to medical devices.

While writing about Irrfan, it is impossible to speak in the past tense. Even though some people are not physically present in this world, they remain present in our thoughts and emotions. When you think about them even for a moment, you can see their image emerging right in front of you. I first met Irrfan in the last months of 1990. I met him with his partner Sutapa Sikdar during their meeting with my cousin Alka Srivastava and her husband Ishaan Trivedi. Irrfan had come to Mumbai aiming to test his talent. While reading this book, you will discover Irrfan's clarity of thought. He was clear from the very beginning that after completing NSD he would work in films. Films were his target and he achieved this goal with hard work and dedication. He succeeded in his aim. He had begun to spread his wings and was ready to soar... But that was not to be. He was caught unawares by a rare type of cancer. The hopes and dreams ended abruptly. I now feel that my every meeting with Irrfan remained incomplete. Many pages that could have been filled remained blank due to his death. Those blank pages keep fluttering, but nothing can be written on them now. I went through a unique experience while preparing the first eBook on Irrfan. I must have taken thousands of interviews, but never have I experienced this strange feeling before while writing them down. In the course of compiling the book, I have read and corrected the entire text several times.

All along, I have endeavoured to compare two generations, 50 years or so apart, in a realistic fiction form. I wish, I could have written about 50 years before this also! As for pre-climax, I have described a meeting and discussion between Suraj and Vineet, where Suraj gives his views on the two societies miles apart, making Vineet curious, captivated and impressed to the extent that he arranges a lecture for Suraj at an international platform in New York, which is also ultimately where the climax of the book occurs.

While enduring his research aptitude, he has authored and co-authored more than 400 scientific papers, 2 books, and 12 book chapters of high repute. Dr. Saurabh Bhatia graduated from Kurukshetra University, followed by postgraduation from Bharati Vidyapeeth University. He received his Ph.D in Pharmaceutical Technology at Jadavpur University. Energy is essential for the economic growth of a nation. Its absence or deficiency makes a nation highly vulnerable to international arms twisting as well as internal disturbances. As such, it is an important element in a nation's security matrix. India which is in the lower half of the countries as far as the energy consumption per capita is concerned. One of major reasons is the gap between the demand and the capacity of the country to supply the energy from indigenous sources. One of the important sources that hold promise in Indian context is the nuclear energy as it is clean and the resource; thorium to produce power through this route is available indigenously. However despite a well developed plan for energy conversion in place, using indigenous resources for over half a century, it is still considered only promising. Relevant questions in this regard are; whether perceived promise is realizable? If so, in what time frame and at what cost? Will it be safe keeping in view its capacity to cause wide spread devastation? Is there a need to seek technical collaboration with other countries or will it be better to go indigenous route only? How do we tackle the widening demand- supply gap during the interim? And finally is there a case for a review for the existing decision loop/energy management system? An attempt has been made in this book to address these issues. It is also expected that the concept advocated in this book for achieving energy security for India by 2030 will initiate a wider debate on the subject.

Soaps are cleaning agents that are usually made by reacting alkali (e.g., sodium hydroxide) with naturally occurring fat or fatty acids. A soap is a salt of a compound known as a fatty acid. A soap molecule consists of a long hydrocarbon chain (composed of carbons and hydrogens) with a carboxylic acid group on one end which is ionic bonded to a metalion, usually a sodium or potassium. The hydrocarbon end is nonpolar and is soluble in nonpolar substances (such as fats and oils), and the ionic end (the salt of a carboxylic acid) is soluble in water. Soap is made by combining tallow (or other hard animal fat) or vegetable or fish oil with an alkaline solution. The two most important alkalis in use are caustic soda and caustic potash. A detergent is an effective cleaning product because it contains one or more surfactants. Because of their chemical makeup, the surfactants used in detergents can be engineered to perform well under a variety of conditions. Such surfactants are less sensitive than soap to the hardness minerals in water and most will not form a film. Disinfectants are chemical agents applied to non-living objects in order to destroy bacteria, viruses, fungi, mold or mildews living on the objects. Disinfectants are chemical substances used to destroy viruses and microbes (germs), such as bacteria and fungi, as opposed to an antiseptic which can prevent the growth and reproduction of various microorganisms, but does not destroy them. The ideal disinfectant would offer complete sterilization, without harming other forms of life, be inexpensive, and non-corrosive. The global soap and detergent market is expected to reach USD 207.56 billion by 2025.
