In these competitive and turbulent times, project organisations face severe challenges. Despite the advancement of project management tools and techniques, the rate of project failure exceeds that of success. Regardless of calls for further empirical studies on the role of project leadership, researchers struggle to find the best leadership styles for project success. New digital transformation phenomena have forced organisations to offer more autonomy and decision-making authority to those at lower hierarchical levels. In this scenario, top management support plays a facilitator role. To the best of the researcher's knowledge, no past studies have examined these critical project success factors simultaneously in a project environment. Embedded in the theories of contingency, goal-setting, and social cognition, this study raised the hypothesis that project managers’ leadership styles impact project success via the mediation of goal clarity, empowerment, and self-leadership as well as the moderation of top management support. Data was collected by administering a cross-sectional survey to 289 project organisations in the IT sector. The results demonstrated that project managers' transactional leadership style does not impact project success because goal clarity has an insignificant association with project success. However, the transformational leadership style showed a positive impact on project success because empowerment significantly and positively relates to project success. The project manager's empowering leadership style was also found to positively influence project success through followers’ self-leadership. Additionally, top management support revealed a significant moderating role by strengthening the relationship between empowerment and project success. This study successfully fills theoretical gaps by introducing a novel moderated mediation model. The findings also offer useful insights to practitioners by revealing that project managers’ transformational leadership and empowering leadership are needed to enhance and encourage employee empowerment and self-leadership, and ultimately secure project success.
Healthcare quality (HQ) became eminent during the COVID-19 crisis. Despite the efforts made by the Ministry of Health in Oman, the country faced several challenges, such as a lack of available funds and patients perceived in a negative manner which hindered their treatment experience. The study examines factors affecting HQ using the SERVQUAL model; patient satisfaction in Omani public hospitals, including healthcare quality, resources availability (RA), and healthcare facility preparedness (HFP); and the moderation effect of the perceived risk of COVID-19 pandemic. This research uses a mixed method with a sample size of 387 patients (quantitatively) selected using probability random sampling of 8 patients (qualitatively) who visited public hospitals The findings from the quantitative analysis reveals that the tangibility and RA had insignificant effect on the HQ. The moderation effect of perceived risk of COVID-19 between HQ, RA, HFP and patient satisfaction was insignificant. The results of the qualitative analysis indicated other factors that affected patient satisfaction, including communication, helpfulness, compassion, physician professionalism, patient-doctor contact, waiting time, atmosphere, and cleanliness. The study proposed a strategy for technical categories that include professional skills, service outcomes and concrete quality aspects, and functional categories. The study has also recommended implications for further investigation.
Patient loyalty and its attributes are significant concerns for healthcare industries. Research has been done on this issue in numerous contexts but research in Malaysian healthcare industry is still scarce. This study investigated the relationship between service quality, hospital accreditation on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. The research examined five factors of service quality: responsiveness, assurance, tangibility, empathy, reliability. This study utilized nonprobability convenient sampling from 20 private hospitals that promote medical tourism in Klang Valley, Malaysia. A total of 378 medical tourists participated in the survey. Statistical tests carried out include descriptive statistics, internal consistency, reliability and validity. Correlation analysis and PLS Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was also conducted to determine the relationships of the variables. The main finding shows that there is a positive relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction, service quality and customer loyalty, hospital accreditation on customer satisfaction, and customer satisfaction on customer loyalty. However, hospital accreditation has no positive effect on patient loyalty. The findings of this study are useful to managers, board of directors and stakeholders of private hospitals to understand influential factors on patients’ satisfaction and loyalty.
Retail Service Quality is a vital driver in determining customer satisfaction, which in turn promotes customer loyalty and reduces switching intentions. Service quality is a solution to build customer satisfaction which could lead to customer loyalty hence reducing switching intentions. The current study has investigated the interrelationship between service quality, customer satisfaction, customer loyalty with switching intentions of customers, and the moderating role of price discounts and store ethnicity, in a single framework. Random sampling was used by administering standardized questionnaires personally to 450 hypermarket customers located in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The results confirmed that retail service quality has significant positive influence on customer satisfaction, and the positive effect of customer satisfaction on customer loyalty. Besides, the study verified store ethnicity and price discounts acted as moderating mechanism for explaining the switching intentions of satisfied and loyal customers. The results serve as a guideline for top managers of the hypermarkets to design appropriate policies and strategies in terms of retail service quality, price discounts and identifying the needs of ethnic groups in a particular region. This will help to enhance customer satisfaction and customer loyalty hence reducing switching intentions of customers.
Electronic customer relationship management (ECRM) is a comprehensive business and marketing strategy for attracting and retaining customers over the internet. The proliferation of ECRM and its alarming failure rate call for a better understanding of the relationship between ECRM and its immediate objective. Based on the literature reviewed, there are few studies that have used service quality as a component of relationship quality in the relation between ECRM and customer satisfaction. The study investigates the influence of three components of ECRM (i.e., pre-purchase, at-purchase, and post-purchase ECRM) on customer satisfaction directly and through mediating variable relationship quality. A quantitative methodology using a cross-sectional survey method was used to investigate the relationship between variables.

A brand is a valuable asset, and loyalty to a particular brand is the source of revenue and profitability of the business. Brand loyalty is significant for the business growth and expansion of companies in the electronics sector. A populated country, Bangladesh has a substantial expenditure on electronic appliances, and the demand for these household items increases over the period; however, customers are not always loyal to a particular brand. Marketing literature shows that customer satisfaction and brand confidence directly affect brand loyalty, and brand trust mediates their relationship. Due to the technological advance of social media, technology has an essential role in the customer's decision to buy household appliances. The existing literature has not focused on this massive demand for electronic appliances, customer satisfaction, loyalty, trust, and social media's significant role in consumer buying behavior. The book shoed the investigation of the effect of customer satisfaction and brand trust of electronic home appliances on brand loyalty and the mediating role of brand trust in customer satisfaction and trust relationship. The study also examined the extent to which customers believe social media information influences them. The study gathered data from 523 Bangladeshi respondents from Dhaka by conducting a survey. The data were analyzed with SPSS and CB-SEM (AMOS) for the hypothesis test. The findings revealed that customer satisfaction and brand trust significantly impact brand loyalty, and social media moderates those significant relationships. The result of the study contributed to the expectancy-disconfirmation theory, trust-commitment theory, brand loyalty theory, and theory of reasoned action by presenting empirically-based insight into customer satisfaction, brand trust, and brand loyalty constructs in electronic home appliances in Bangladesh. In addition, the results provided a practical insight into marketing and brand management. They suggested the practicing managers in developing product quality with customer preference, building trust through maintaining brand image and creating awareness among the customers, and considering the significance of social media and its usage. The research used probabilistic sampling techniques, both rural and urban customers, only a single home appliance, and PLS-SEM statistical tool for analysis. Future researchers could focus and include other variables such as price or advertising; consider loyalty separately, and use both urban and rural customers to have better predictions.
Malaysia’s manufacturing sector plays an integral role in enabling the growth of the country’s supply chain and continues evolution of the logistics role are obvious in the last two decades. Despite of the remarkable expansion of the industry, very few studies are focusing on logistics system’s contribution towards the organization performance. This study examine the factors that affect the organization performance of manufacturing firms from a logistics perspective. The variables employed to examine are logistics strategic, organizational structure and logistics information technology (LIT) towards organization performance of manufacturing firms. From the sample of data collection, the results indicated that logistics strategy, organizational structure and logistics information technology has significant relationship with organization performance. As the corporate social responsibility are growing popularity in Malaysia particularly, Malaysian generation Y who newly joined the workforce are found not only focus on the products and services but also on the response of the corporation CSR. This investigated the factors, such as consumers’ awareness, consumers’ trust and the willingness to pay premium price on CSR that have impact on the purchase intention. From survey collected, the findings demonstrated that the relationship between the willingness to pay premium price and purchase intention is the strongest, compared to the consumers’ trust on purchase intention. While, the consumers’ awareness on the purchase intention of Malaysian generation Y is weakest relationship among the other two factors.
Political marketing is part and parcel of political life. Politicians, government and council departments have incorporate marketing in their pursuit of political goals. They are aware when deciding on policies and service deliverances; understand people they serve and seek votes from them and thus create new segments to target and creation of the political brand to develop an attractive vision. The objectives of this study are to examine voters` behaviour, the role of loyalty, trust, and voting intention in selecting political leaders in Ghana. Data gathered from 520 eligible voters who have voted at least two times. Structural Equation Modeling Smart PLS was employed generate the findings. The outcome revealed that, candidate personality, epistemic value, contingency situation and political issues have a positive and significant influence on voting intention. However the social imagery had no effect on voting intention from the voters` perspectives. Voters` loyalty and trust moderates voting intention on the aggregate level. This finding suggested that political issues engagement with voter audience need to be revisited through civic education. Given the importance that democratic societies placed on citizens’ participation in an electoral process. Incorporating their views, opinions and feelings on trust and loyalty to a party on their voting intention will offers an empirical dimension to the evaluation of voters` behaviour and also help the leadership of the various political parties in Ghana in their quest to develop appropriate strategies with the so aim of winning election.
