This book presents the Cognitive Information Centric Sensor Network (CICSN) framework for the IoT. This framework is built on top of cognitive nodes, capable of knowledge representation, learning, and reasoning, along with an information-centric approach for data delivery. It also discusses the most appropriate deployment strategy for these cognitive nodes under realistic assumptions that cares about the Quality of Information (QoI). In addition, it uses a QoI aware data delivery strategy, with Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) as the reasoning technique to identify data delivery paths that dynamically adapt to changing network conditions and user requirements.
Selected from the prestigious 2006 International Conference on Knowledge Management held in Greenwich, London, this volume represents much of the best and most up-to-date work by researchers and practitioners in the field of knowledge management (KM). It covers a wide range of topics that include social network analysis, innovation and creativity, KM tools and technologies, social network technologies, collaboration and knowledge sharing, issues in KM education and training, knowledge discovery (data mining, data warehousing, intelligent agents), knowledge organization (meta data, taxonomies, ontology), and social and psychological dimensions. This book has been selected for coverage in: . OCo Index to Scientific & Technical Proceedings- (ISTP-/ISI Proceedings). The field of marketing and management has undergone immense changes over the past decade. These dynamic changes are driving an increasing need for data analysis using quantitative modelling. Problem solving using the quantitative approach and other models has always been a hot topic in the fields of marketing and management. Quantitative modelling seems admirably suited to help managers in their strategic decision making on operations management issues. In social sciences, quantitative research refers to the systematic empirical investigation of social phenomena via statistical, mathematical or computational techniques. The first edition of "Quantitative Modelling in Marketing and Management" focused on the description and applications of many quantitative modelling approaches applied to marketing and management. The topics ranged from fuzzy logic and logical discriminant models to growth models and k-clique models. The second edition follows the thread of the first one by covering a myriad of techniques and applications in the areas of statistical, computer, mathematical as well as other novel nomothetic methods. It greatly reinforces the areas of computer, mathematical and other modeling tools that are designed to bring a level of awareness and knowledge among academics and researchers in marketing and management, so that there is an increase in the application of these new approaches that will be embedded in future scholarly output."--
This volume aims to evaluate the impact of recent reform policies and highlight priority areas for further reform at the macroeconomic and institutional levels. Topics addressed include growth, distribution, and poverty reduction, unemployment and job creation, and the new pension system.
Embark on a journey to achieve success in Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam with this two-volume review manual tailored for civil engineers in Saudi Arabia. As the Engineering Licensure becomes a pivotal milestone for professional practice, attention shifts to the FE exam. The Volume 1 encompasses structural engineering intricacies, covering Structural Analysis and Design. Additionally, it covers the fundamental aspects of Geotechnical Engineering, Transportation, and Highway Engineering from the FE exam view point. This manual seamlessly connects existing manuals with the unique demands of the Saudi FE exam, providing both theoretical insights and practical applications. In this comprehensive manual, our primary objective is to empower civil engineers and senior students by providing sample questions compliant with the Saudi Civil Engineering (SCE) standards. Specifically tailored for efficient FE exam preparation, this manual serves as an all-encompassing resource, eliminating the necessity for additional references and ensuring a solid theoretical foundation. By aligning with SCE standards, we aim to equip individuals with the tools they need to confidently tackle the FE exam, a pivotal evaluation that not only measures learning outcomes but also significantly influences ences program rankings within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Civil Engineering landscape. Your journey toward licensure takes its first decisive steps right here, where knowledge meets application in a uniquely tailored resource. Your journey to licensure begins here!
